Kohi Clicking — CPS Test Guide

What is the 5-Second CPS Test?

The 5-second Click Speed Test measures how many times you can click your mouse button in exactly 5 seconds. Your result is calculated as Clicks Per Second (CPS) by dividing total clicks by time elapsed.

The 5-second test is ideal for measuring pure burst clicking speed without fatigue.

What is a Good Score?

The average player scores between 5-8 CPS in a 5-second test. Here's the breakdown:

  • Below 3 CPS — Beginner
  • 3–6 CPS — Average
  • 6–10 CPS — Above Average
  • 10–14 CPS — Expert (Jitter/Butterfly technique likely)
  • 14+ CPS — Elite / World-class

How to Improve Your CPS

Improving your click speed requires consistent practice and the right technique:

  1. Grip position: Use a claw or fingertip grip for faster actuation.
  2. Mouse choice: A gaming mouse with low debounce time (≤8ms) registers more clicks.
  3. Warm up: Click for 30 seconds before taking the real test.
  4. Technique: Learn jitter or butterfly clicking to exceed 10 CPS.
  5. Consistency: 5-10 minutes of daily practice builds motor memory.

CPS in Gaming

In games like Minecraft PvP, Hypixel registers clicks at a maximum of 20 CPS. Higher CPS means more hits per second, giving you a combat advantage. However, above 14 CPS, the improvement in-game is marginal compared to aim and movement.

How is CPS Calculated?

CPS stands for Clicks Per Second. The formula is simple:

CPS = Total Clicks ÷ Time in Seconds

For example: 35 clicks in 5 seconds = 7.0 CPS. Our test calculates this in real time as you click.
